Bioactive compounds and labelling of Biomolecules

The group of Labeling and conjugation of Biomolecules develops methods for improved solubilization, chemical conjugation, and stable isotope labeling of proteins for bimolecular NMR and mass spectrometry analysis. The recent research efforts are focused on design, synthesis and structural characterization of new heterocyclic chalcone and stilbene derivatives as potential anticancer agent.The work is in close collaboration with NMR and mass spectrometry researchers in the EU and USA, including the group of Dr. Franz Hagn at TU, Munchen and Université de Lorraine (Metz, France).
